Week 3: Object-Oriented Programming

I started working with object-oriented programming in high school and this is the reason that I didn't really have any trouble with my computer science courses so far in university. Even though it was my first time working with Python in the beginning of this year, my Java experience from high school really helped me to understand and work with this program. CSC108 was really basic, but it truly helped me in getting used to coding like a pythonista and now in CSC148, I feel a lot more related and closer to the whole concept of object-oriented programming. The links which get posted in the course calender have really helped me in both understanding the course material and also learning a lot more new stuff about this type of programming. Here is one great example of them, which talks about object-oriented programming. I also found the labs really helpful, since we usually don't get to try out coding in class ourselves. The most interesting part of the labs for me so far was the task of finding a way to shorten the run time of a queue. It actually was fun to find a way to solve this problem and overall, I am really enjoying the course so far.
